Well I a little birdie told me that it might not even go through but if people dont get their say in and do something about it, well it will just slip past but cant do anything more until the meeting, but i think the first option point of sale and upgrade when a new one is needed is a good idea. My open fire was just rebricked this year
Now your just gonna have to guess what i win lol

With their massively over-bloated price of the new computer system, the complaints about the local Boards, huge expensive pie-in-the-sky / white elephant / usless pet project ideas, and plain stupid ideas, etc., etc. ... the morons in the Council have more than enough to deal with and may not be around long enough to do anything (although they'll simply be replaced by more morons with equally stupid ideas and fantasies).

It's the same as the moronic idiots in Government changing the Give Way road rules (again) soon ... for absolutely no good reason, other than they can't think of anything better to do. Plus of course they'll get a bit of an increase in GST payments from panelbeaters (and probably car sales due to a few written off cars). :(

As with most people in management positions, they simply mess about with things to try to make it look like they're actually doing something to justify their over-bloated salaries for being employed in jobs that aren't actually necessary ... or to get their name put on a plaque on some monument.

Not sure saving one life and 13 serious injuries counts as "absolutely no good reason"...

But Transport Agency spokesman Andy Knackstedt said there was a 2.5 per cent rise in intersection accidents after the 1977 rule was introduced, in contrast to a 7.1 per cent drop in Victoria, Australia, after a similar rule was reversed in 1993.
The agency expects the rule change to save, each year, an average of one life and prevent 97 injuries - 13 of them serious.

Statistics can be used to "prove" whatever the person paying for them wants them to "prove" - there is no good reason to change the rule. The other bunch of nonsense the fools in charge spout is that tourists get confused ... tourists also often come from countries that drive on the other side of the road, but there's no plan to change that.

Well, DUH! You've just changed the rule and confused everyone, so of course there will be more accidents (a great example of bad statistics used as "proof") ... precisely why they should be mucking about with it here!

Would be a good idea and lower the unemployment numbers ... except they'd have to raise taxes (or some other scam) to pay for it.

Except you then get some impatient moron behind who keeps honking at you.
